Rut 5.16 – 5.20

5-16 Dhyaan Singh/ Ishnaan/ Future

Bhai Dyaan Singh ji sold everything to buy the word of Guru ji.  Guru ji asked him: “oh Sikh, tell me what is in your heart.”  Bhai Dyaan Singh ji spoke to Guru ji sweetly: “I want my Sikhi to remain solid.  I want this blessing from you.  The day I did the transaction with Har Gopal, I was really happy.  I have been blessed ever since.  After 7 days, I went to my fields to farm it.  I found a chest with thousands of Rajitpuns as I tilled the land.  I was very happy to receive it.  I fixed my mind onto the glory of the Satguru’s word.  I had deep faith.  I came home and made Karah Prashaad.  I did an Ardaas and called Gursikhs to my home to feed them Langar.  I took out Dasvand and brought it to you.  I have brought all the money I found.  It’s yours.  I will do what you say.  Should I spend it or give it to you?  This came from the Satguru and so I gave you 1/10 of it.  I bowed and left that day.  I spent some money on some of my things.  This Sikh that is here today has now become yours.  He is now a Gurmukh.”  Satguru ji heard this and said: “I see you as a faithful Sikh.  You are patient.  This Sikh that made a mistake has been forgiven.  His pain is all gone.  You will go to Sach Khan now.  This Sikh is not broken anymore.  He came to my sanctuary.  The Sahijdhaari Sikhs are the ones from Guru Nanak Dev ji to now.  This Sikh was a Sahijdhaari Sikh.  I am now going to give the Khanda Pahul to all.  They will become Singhs and kill the Turks.  Dyaan Singh you are my Sidhki Sikh.  You love the feet of the Guru.”  Guru ji smiled and continued: “you are my Sikh, Dyaan Singh.  Whatever is in your heart, ask for it.  You have faith on my words.  I have given the word of love.”  Bhai Dyaan Singh ji folded his hands and said: “Sri Prabhoo ji, I have a great worry in my heart.  Please bless your Sikhs in the future.  Look how Har Gopal wilted and sold your words.  Who will help the Sikhs after you are gone?  How will they have faith?  I request you to give your Sikhs faith after you are not here.”  Guru ji laughed and said: “Dyaan Singh, listen to the future:  pearls in the ocean are valuable everywhere, anytime; my Sikhs will always have faith.  There will be hundreds of thousands of them.  They will grow.  The way of my body is like the sun.  When the sun sets and night, the stars sparkle.  That is how my Singhs are.  They will shine when I’m gone.  You don’t notice them now because I am here.  I have given them faith, wealth and knowledge.  I have given them all types of knowledge: music, poetry, philosophy, weaponry and politics.  When my Singhs will sit and do Simran of my name, their radiance will grow.  Their glory will increase, the more they do it.  The warriors will let go of their cowardice and rule the earth.  They will have kingdoms and strength.  They will have purity, truth, wealth and knowledge.  I gave them everything.”  The master of the universe spoke like this and then went to his home.  The omniscient one ate and slept at night.

In the morning, Guru ji came to his Divaan after bathing.  The Khalsa came to the Divaan.  It was the month of Maagh and very cold.  Men and women would bathe in the morning.  The Singhs folded their hands and said to Guru ji: “in Maagh and Kathak, men and women wake up in the morning and bathe with cold water by tradition.  In the other months, people bathe at other times, other than morning.  Satguru ji, tell us if this is a right thing to do.”  Guru ji heard the Sikhs and said to them: “listen, this world is a drama, what shall I say about it?  The tradition of personal gain doesn’t stay for forever.  Till the cow gives milk, it is considered the blessing of the Devatas.  The cow is considered a Devata.  If it stops giving milk, it is kicked out of the house.  Doing the Pooja of the Devatas, the whole city is blessed.  The woman that gives children is considered good.  The Brahmin gives blessings once he receives donations.  If the owner gives food to the servant, the servant is like silver.  The husband who is useless is not liked by his wife.  Everyone follows what others are doing blindly.  Oh Sikhs, the true love is what the Guru likes.  It is the love one has for the Satguru that is real.  Oh Sikhs, listen to the true thing: to trust the Guru is like many yagnas.  Bathe everyday during Amritvela.  22 minutes later is equal to Ashvamedha yagna; another 22 minutes later is Gomedh yagna, then it’s equal to preparing the wick for the Divas, then donating milk, gold, silver and copper.  If the sun’s light comes out, then bathing is equal to donating water.  The one who bathes in the afternoon, there is no reward, other than being clean.  The one that sleeps the whole day and bathes in the late afternoon, that is useless.  That is a corrupt person.  Only demons bathe at night.  That is violence.  It is a sin.  Do Simran while doing Ishnaan everyday.  That person will be saved.  Doing Simran of Ram is what will save you.  Doing traditions for the purpose of household gains are useless.  That is like reciting the Argay Mantra and fishing for fish with a net.  They don’t care for the Mantra; they only want to catch the fish.  If the Satguru is compassionate on the person, the true focus is achieved.  Do the real traditions.  Let go of the empty traditions.  If you want to cross this world, understand that this world is a drama.  The one who is stuck in the sensory organs, that is useless.  Like a child is focused in play, and doesn’t worry about their biological needs, that is how you should be.  Stay detached from the world.  Meeting the world is just entertainment like a board game.  There is no profit from the world.  There is no loss either.  It’s just entertainment.  That is how the world is.  Without love, everything is empty.  Do Simran of Satnam with love.  Love is the highest tradition.  There is nothing without love.  The Vedas say: that person is peaceful who has love inside them.  Harinakashyup was destroyed because he had no love.  Hari came as Narsingh to save Harinakashyup’s son.  Sahisarbaahu was without love and killed by Jamdaghani’s son, Parshuram.  Sahisarbaahu killed Jamdaghani because of a cow.  The reciter of the Vedas, the son of Vishrava, Raavan, went to Surlok without love.  When love comes with full focus, the body becomes joyful.  Don’t even think of anything else besides Parmeshwar.  Parmeshwar lives inside you like butter exists in milk; just like there is fire inside a rock, the Jot of Parmatma is inside you.  The fire is calm inside the rock.  The consciousness of Akaal Purakh is inside you.  The attachment of the world does not let you see the Parmatma inside you.  This wall must fall for you to see the true form.  Parmatma is the truth, the infinite form that resides in all.  Whoever understands this, they are in pure bliss and do not see another.  The form of Parmatma is ever-existing, still, consciousness, without fault, self-pervading, self-illuminating, indestructible; whoever knows this, their wishes are all fulfilled.  The world is not real; just as a rabbit does not have horns; like the wedding of a baren woman’s son; like flowers growing in the sky; oil from sand; these are all untrue.  Listen Bhiswambher Das Sikh, your wishes will be fulfilled.  You will be taken out of the birth and death cycle after 8 more births.”  Bhai Bhiswambher Das ji thought about this and said: “tell me about my other lives.  I wish for being a Sikh.  I want to be born as a Sikh and be your servant.  I want to do Simran.”  Guru ji said: “do the Simran of Satnam.  You will receive joy from Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, Guru Angad Dev ji and Guru Amardas ji.  Guru Ramdas ji, Guru Arjan Dev ji, Guru Hargobind Sahib ji, Guru Har Rai Sahib ji Guru Har Krishan ji, Guru Tegh Bahadhur Sahib ji and his son Guru Gobind Singh ji made the Khalsa Panth.”

Prabhoo ji then spoke about the future: “Daya Singh and other Sikhs, along with Kesho Das, they will all take birth in the Panth and rule.  All the Singhs who are serving me right now, doing the Seva of the Guru, they will all take birth in the Panth.  The 18 Bhagats will be born in the Panth and take the kingdom from everyone else.  After they rule, the foreigners will come and rule the East.  Their radiance will affect some of the Singhs.  They will stop wearing their weapons and forget their ways.  They will fight the Singhs and decrease in numbers.  The Khalsa will go to the mountainous areas and win it.  They will gain a lot of wealth and defeat Delhi.  They will kick the son of the king of Kangar out.  He will jump into the Ganga, killing himself.  He will be the servant of Shiva and a big donor.  He will be born as a Singh and rule Kanshi.”  Kavi Santokh Singh ji says: “I have seen the prince of Kangar die in the Ganga.  His name was Anurudh Chand.  He died a few days ago.  He will be born in Kanshi and become its king as Guru ji told us.”

5-17 Future/ Bhiswambher Das’s Wives

“The Khalsa will rule without any competitors.  The ones who will work for me or the Khalsa, will make a living.  The Turks, Dogras, and Gilzaas will work for the Khalsa.  The Kings of Jammu will know this and rule with the Khalsa.  The Khalsa will spread its rule to 9,000 km and sound its Nagaras.  It will take taxes from some states and some states will immerge into the kingdom.  Listen Bhiswambher Das, the wise, think about this bliss, you are my Sikh.  Go to your home.  When you go home, you will know the past and the future.  All of your tasks will be completed.  Pain and poverty will go away from your home.”  After giving such great blessings, the Satguru got up in the Divaan.  Everyone went to their homes.

Bhai Ram Koer ji says: “Guru ji then said to me: “listen Gurbaksh Singh, when the night passes into the morning, go to the Sikhs of Ujjain and bring Bhiswambher Das to me.”  Listen Sahib Singh (Likhaari) and the other listeners, Guru ji went to his home then.  I bowed and came back to my place.  I ate and went to sleep.  I woke up in the morning and did my daily routines.  When the sun had risen into the day for about an hour, I went to the Sikhs of Ujjain and brought them to Guru ji.  The wives and son of Bhiswambher Das were there and they all came to where Guru ji was.  1,000 Rajitpuns (from the rule of Shah Jahan) were presented by him to Guru ji.  He bowed to Guru ji.  His wives and Har Gopal all bowed to Guru ji.  They were going to take leave from Guru ji after staying there for a few months.  His wives went into the home of Guru Gobind Singh ji to see the mothers.  They met the mothers and presented money to them.  They bowed with deep faith to them.  When the time came to leave, they went to bow to Guru ji.  The elder wife was named Madanvanti.  She was happy.  She placed her head on Guru ji’s feet.  She began to cry.  Guru ji stopped her but she kept crying at Guru ji’s feet.  Guru ji told her to let go of his feet but she kept holding on to them.  When Guru ji saw the tears on his feet, he laughed.  He said: “why are you worrying?  The Guru’s home does not keep track of give and take.  Your son is my servant now.  In the next birth, it will be another play.  I will tell you the future so you have faith.  Your son has become a pure Sikh now.  Only Gorakh (the protector of the world) will know or you will.”  Madanvanti heard this and said: “I don’t want to be stuck into attachment again.  This is what I want.”  Guru ji said: “you are a very wise and aware woman.  You will be the wife of Gurbaksh Singh (Kanhaiya) and will have no sons in your next birth.  (Guru ji was referring to Rani Sada Kaur, the mother-in-law of Maharaj Ranjit Singh) You will be born a woman but be like men.”  Madanvanti was happy to hear this.  She understood everything and smiled.  She was a brave woman as she kept grabbing Guru ji’s feet.  For this reason, she was going to be like men.  Rani Sada Kaur was a brave woman that kept all the other Sardar men on their toes.  The other wife of Bhiswambher Das was named Modani.  She bowed her head onto Guru ji’s feet as well.  Guru ji stayed quiet and shook his head.  He moved back a little bit in disgust.  Everyone left.  Satguru ji laughed as they left.  I was standing next to Guru ji.  I asked him: “what is your command?”  Kalgidhar ji said: “the elder, Madanvanti, will be your wife in your next birth.  You will be named Gurbaksh Singh again.  Both of you will have great kingdoms.  Your kingdom will be all the way to the place of the volcanoes (Kangar).  You will have a short life though, as it will only be fulfilling a small desire that you had to be her husband.  Listen little one, I sent you to bring them here but you saw the woman and desired her.  You wondered why I didn’t give her to you because you thought she was very pretty.  Now I give her to you in your next birth.  You saw her body and desired her after being a great Gyani.  Why did you forget who you were?  I give her to you in your next birth.  The second wife tried to touch my feet while she was menstruating.  For this reason, I didn’t speak to her.  She was not clean.  She will be born as a Muslim prostitute.  This is Parmeshwar’s wish.  She had faith though and she will be rewarded with praise for this.  When Keshav Das will become King Ranjit Singh, he will keep her as a dancer named Mora in his court.  She will then die and be born as a Hindu again.  He will mint a coin after her name and be punished for it.  She will be born again as a Rajput.  I have given her to Keshav Das.”  In this way, the master said the future.  He then stopped me from asking more questions: “that’s enough!  Stay quiet now, don’t ask anymore questions.”  He went quiet.  It was time to do something else.  I made a mistake and have to be born again.  I stayed quiet and sat in the Divaan.  Guru ji then went to his home and didn’t come out for rest of the day.  He ate food and rested.”

Kavi Santokh Singh ji says: “just as I have read Bhai Ram Koer ji’s Katha, written by Bhai Sahib Singh Likhaari, I have seen Rani Sada Kaur marry Gurbaksh Singh.  The other woman of Bhiswambher Das became a prostitute.  Everyone saw that Ranjit Singh married her.  Guru ji’s predictions unfolded right in front of my eyes.  Everyone saw this.”

One day, Guru ji gathered the Pandits together to perform the Sharaads.  The Satoguni Pandits got together who were peaceful in nature.  Many people came.  Satguru ji gave a lot of donations to them.  Nice blankets and tarps were laid out.  Langar was made for them.  Jewellery for men was given to all.  Jewellery for women were given with many precious gems embedded into them.  Horses with golden saddles were given to them.  Cows were given.  The Brahmins were of the highest status and greatest characters.  They were genuinely scholarly and followed a devotional lifestyle.  They knew the Vedas and Shastras well.  Many were sitting near Guru ji and having discussions with him.  There was a Brahmin named Nandram who was very wise.  He spoke about the tradition of Sharaads: “the food and water of the Sharaads does not reach the ancestors as people of the world do.”  Guru ji heard this and said: “consider all of the Dharam Shastras and have a discussion about this.”  Everyone heard this and began to present many points from the Vedas and the Shastras.  They all decided that the residual month (known as the Mal Maas) of the lunar calendar is not great.  The Sharaads should not be done in that 13th month.  The month with the Shangrand is good though.  The Sikhs all sat and heard the discussions.  Guru ji wanted the Sikhs to have all of this knowledge so they understand all of the theories and philosophies.  Satguru ji then said to all of the Brahmins: “just as you came to the decision that the Sharaads should be done in a particular way, explain all of this.  How does the Sharaad reach the ancestors, have a discussion and come to a conclusion about this.”

5-18 Sharaad Decision

When Satguru ji told the Shastri Brahmins about the Sharaads, they all conversed and said in a unanimous way after reading their Granths: “one is to call the Brahmins, the night before the Sharaad is to take place.  The Sharaad is to occur in the late afternoon.  The Brahmin should be deserving who only takes donations as much as needed.  He should not take donations which are not appropriate by the tradition of Dharma.  He should not take the donation of “Moorat Chaya.”  He should be of a reputed family.  He should not be missing any limbs.  He should not be one that accepts big things like land, elephants, horses, women and a lot of jewellery.  He should not take donations of wives (of others) or weighing the woman with gold.  He should not have taken donations during the Sootak (40 days after a child being born in a house) or Paatak (40 days after a death has occurred in a house) time periods.  He should not be indulging with other women.  He should not be a thief or a fraud.  He should not be a spy or one that does the Karma of Kshatriyas.  He should not weigh scales (be a merchant) or indulge in meat and alcohol.  He should not take donations of the solar eclipses.  He should not take horses, elephants and goats as donations.  He should not take donations of one who is dying.  The Brahmin should not be an astrologer, doctor or one that wields weapons.  He should not be impure (unbathed) or one that removes his Janyow.  He should watch where he eats.  He should not forget his Poojas or daily Karma.  He should know the knowledge Brahm.  He should not be married too many times.  He should not take donations for setting marriages.  He should not do chants (or Simran) and sell them.  He should not be a widower or one that cuts his hair.  He should not have dreadlocks or one that does not perform Sharaads.  He should not be uneducated, sanyasi or a Vairagi.  He should not be married to a woman of other castes.  He should not be one that talks too much nonsense.  He should not be a fraud or show-off.  He should not indulge in intoxicants and drugs.  He should not wear red, blue or colourful clothes.  He should not be a Pandha (teacher) or a Purohit.  He should not take donations from low-lifes or bad people.  He should not be a farmer or deliverer.  The one who does not do these things, that is the best Brahmin.  If one calls such a Brahmin that does all the things, the Pittars (ancestors) will not receive your food.  They will curse you instead.”  The whole court heard this.  Kalgidhar ji then said: “listen all, from what you have mentioned according to the Shastras, then this tradition is too far.  The Sharaad will never happen then.  The criteria calls for: one in a million.  You can’t find such a person.  It is better to do the Sharaad at a Teerath then, where pilgrims come to worship.  It is better to feed these people.  If you can’t go to the Teerath, then feed a visitor or a traveller.  Your Pittars will be blessed then.  The Pittars will accept this Sharaad.”  The Brahmins were asked: “explain the traditions of Sootak and the eclipses.  What do the Shastras say?  What was the decision of the Munnis?”  Pandit Dev Raj from the Himalayas was sitting amongst the scholars.  He heard the Satguru.  For one month, the Katha of Hemadri ideology on the Puranas was done that explained what should and shouldn’t be done.  Bhai Ram Koer ji says: “I listened to that Katha.  The Granth was scribed but it was lost in the river while leaving Anandpur.  For that reason, I won’t be able to say the whole Katha here.  It won’t be of any use to say this.  We should listen to the Katha of the Guru.”  Bhai Sahib Singh ji and other Singhs said: “Bhai Ram Koer ji, you are the Gyani.  You can’t forget anything.  Tell us what the decision was with Guru ji.  Tell us in summary.  Even if it’s a little bit.  Otherwise how will the Sikhs know about these things?  If you don’t say it, they would never know.”  Bhai Ram Koer ji heard this and said: “I will tell you what I heard from Guru ji’s mouth.  What the common belief was, was that: the Sootak for the Brahmins is 10 days and 12 days for the Kshatriya.  It is 15 days of the Vaishyas and 30 days for the Shudras.  If a calf is born to a cow, the milk is in Sootak for 10 days.  That is considered impure.  The Buffalo is for 12 days.  One should not take that milk to do yagnas or Sharaads.  A person can go sick with that milk.  The Sootak can erase the Paatak but the Paatak cannot erase the Sootak.  (The Sootak or Paatak tradition were meant to alert others of a home that has had a birth or a death; as the family is too busy and may neglect the cleanliness of the home).  Till they are there, don’t give or take donations.  If one takes such donations, that person becomes a monkey in the next life.  The donor goes to Hell.  Reject the donation of the eclipses, Khyaa, Jogni and the sick.  The one that is greedy for the death donation and goes to the Teerath, if you give donations to such a person, you will be born as a Daint or Chandaal.  You will eat from others.  Bathing in the Ganga during the solar eclipses, birth of a son or Nandi Mukh (paying homage to the ancestors by the newlywed couple) during weddings; during times of trouble or travelling to other lands, one will not be considered a sinner, during the Sootak and Paatak.  The greedy Brahmin, the greedy relative, and the greedy Sikh are all sinners.  They become Pisaach and experience Hell.  The Rishis and the Vedas say this.  My Sikhs will observe Sootak for 15 days (as the mother recovers and the cleanliness in the home may be neglected).  The one who does the Pittars Sharaad (feeds Langar to pilgrims) for one day, that person is close to me.  An uneducated person or a Gyani, if they are without greed, they are good.  The educated greedy person and the angry sinner go to Hell.”  In this way, the Sikhs heard all this, that was the decision of the Shastras.

Guru ji then went to his home and laid down on his bed.  His elder wife, Mata Jeeto ji came to him.  She had the wish for Mukti in her heart.  She bowed to Guru Gobind Singh ji’s feet and stood there with her hands folded.  The lotus-eyed Guru saw her.  He laughed and said: “householders!  What is your wish?  Tell me what you are desiring.  Say what is appropriate and receive it.”  Mata Jeeto ji became humble and stated her wish: “Guru of the world, I live in your home.  We have a human form as well.  I am a woman who has served you my whole life.  I did not receive your Sangat as much as I wished to.  You give wisdom to all.  The way you give wisdom to your beloved Sikhs, I wish for that as well.  This is my wish that I desire everyday.  I want my mind to be still.”  Sri Satguru ji heard his wife’s words and told her the tradition of Jog: “all of the efforts and wisdom is up to the mind.  When the mind detaches from the world, the Gyaan illuminates spontaneously.  The mind, then, is in love with the Parmeshwar.  Close your eyes and mouth; and listen to your breath.  Observe the breaths.  See if they are with the Naam.  Make your attention go inside.  In this way, the mind, that was wandering like a deer, becomes peaceful.  When the eyes and words instill themselves in the Anhad Shabad (the spontaneous sound produced without any friction), the mind is detached from worldly pleasures.  The bliss of the Brahm is known.  Touch your tongue to the roof of our mouth.  Focus your eyes onto your forehead, between your eyebrows, over the nose.  First do this while doing Simran of the feet of the Satguru, with devotion.  Instill the breath within your belly button.  Make your attention go inward.  When this is done for 3 months, in the fourth month, stability is achieved and the Naam is understood.  The Naam resides in the body then.  The great Jogis have understood this.  The great desires are gone.  One becomes like a spider walking on water, living in this world but not indulging in it.  With this type of Sadhna, the thoughts of the mind are gone.  The 5 elements: earth, water, fire, wind, and space; make up the Sthool body (solid).  Smell, taste, sight, touch and sound; this is the Sooksham body (invisible), the source of the 5 elements.  The invisible essence of the elements was created first.  They were the source of the senses: earth-smell; water-taste; fire-sight; wind-touch; space-sound.  These are divided into Karma and Gyana Indriyas (senses/control centres).  The Gyana Indriyas: earth-nose; water-tongue; fire-eyes; wind-skin; space-ears.  The Karma Indriyas: earth-anus; water-the urethra; fire-feet; wind-hand; space-voice box.  The 5 Puranas (life forces/winds): Purana, Apaan, Samaan, Biaan and Udyana.  They reside in the following: lungs, anus, belly, arteries and throat.  Naag, Kuchoo, Krikli, Devdutta, and Dhananjaya; these are the Upa-puranas.  They are in charge of burping, blinking, yawning, sneezing and Puranas leaving the body.  Understand these things individually.  They are all made of the elements.  Separate these from the Aatma.  Separate the Aatma from the Antiskaran: mind-man; desire-chit; wisdom-Bhuddi; ego-Ahankaar.  This is the Gyaan.  This is the Jog.  This is what Bhagti does.  To donate, to go to Teeraths, to do Tapasya; these are to purify the mind.  Eat less during the day and night.  Control your breaths.  Understand that the body, wealth, children and spouse are all a myth.  They are an illusion.  The whole world is an illusion.  They will not exist forever.  Jog is practised by becoming detached from the pleasures of the world.  Without this, the Jumms strangle us.  I have told you the Raaj Jog.  Practicing this will make your mind still.”  Listening to the Mukti-giver Satguru, Mata Jeeto ji practiced this Jog.  She bowed and sat down on the ground to control her breaths.

5-19 Mata Jeeto ji goes to Sach Khand

Mata Jeeto ji began to eat and sleep less.  She would sit in Samadhi for long periods of time.  She wouldn’t let her attention go further than her noes.  She was only focussed onto her thoughts.  She only did Simran.  Her thoughts burned away.  Her desires were gone.  After 6 months of this practice, she received all of the Siddhis and Riddhis.  After 12 months, she became omniscient.  She knew what others were thinking.  She saw past, present and future.  She could hear what was happening anywhere in the universe.  The knowledge of past and future illuminated in her mind.  She was in the highest state of Brahmgyaan.  She knew the Guru now.  She could understand his play.  She knew that her sons were going to by martyred in battle.  She now knew what was going to happen to her family.

One day, Matta Jeeto ji came to Guru Gobind Sahib ji and said: “Satguru ji, you are omnipotent.  You are all-powerful.  You can give life or take it away in an instant.  You can fill the empty and empty the filled.  You can make kings into beggars and beggars into kings.  My request to you is that you protect your family.  Don’t do what you have thought of.  I am asking as a mother.  Please fulfill my wish.  Please consider my request.”  Guru ji smiled and said: “you can see the past and future now, I see.  Did you earn Jog for the past year for your children?  Or did you do Jog for your own progress?  Attachment causes all of the vices.  Stay detached from all this.  You have taken the wrong path.  Why didn’t you consider the supremacy of our sons?  They will sacrifice their lives and be Emperors of Sach Khand.  They will exist forever as kings.  You will be with them in Sach Khand forever.  This world is destined to not exist one day.  Why did you see this world and get attracted to it?  You have received the bliss Anand through Jog.  The Brahmgyaan has illuminated in your heart.  You know the Aatma now.  You have succeeded this life.  You are blessed.  You shouldn’t speak like this.  See your True Self as separate from your body.”  Mata Jeeto ji heard this, folded her hands and said: “I am always in your command.  I saw the world and that’s why I made such a request.  You should do as you please.  Forgive me.  Please give me happiness so I may leave my body.  I don’t wish to see the scene with my eyes that I can see in my heart.  If it is your wish, do as you please.  I won’t be able to see the trouble ahead.”  Guru ji said: “as you wish.  You can do as you wish.  Life is nothing more than 4 days.  Everyone goes when it is their time.  Forward or behind, all must go.  Happy and sad, all have to go.  A king and beggar must go.  The one who is born must die one day.”  Mata Jeeto ji folded her hands and bowed.  She did Darshan of Satguru ji’s face and engrained it in her heart.  She bowed and came to her room.

Mata Jeeto ji bathed and laid out a Kush Asan.  The maids that served her were happy to serve her.  They stayed with her all the time.  Mata ji told her wisest maids about her decision.  She fulfilled the wishes of her maids.  She gave them many boons.  Mata ji sat in an Asan on the Kush Asan and controlled her breath.  She used her skill and pulled her breath with all her force.  She pulled them to her Dasam Duar.  She made her Brahm Rundher explode and left her body.  Her Aatma went to Sach Khand.  The maids saw this and told Mata Gujri ji.  Mata Gujri ji was shocked.  She came running to Mata Jeeto ji’s room.  Mata Sundri ji found out and ran.  They all started to cry when they saw Mata Jeeto ji’s body.

Guru ji sent Sikhs to tell them: “she has died the death of great beings.  Don’t mourn her death.  She has gone to Sach Khand.  Cremate her body.”  The preparations of the cremation happened.  Her body was bathed and new clothes were put on.  She was put on a platform which was raised by the 4 Sahibzadas.  The Khalsa and others followed them.  Thousands came to attend.  Where Agampura is located now, everyone arrived there by Guru ji’s command.  Her pyre was prepared there.  This was the place of her Tapasya from her previous life.  The Rababis sang Shabads.  The fortunate Sikhs did Simran of Naam.  Sandalwood was brought for the pyre.  Baba Ajit Singh ji, Baba Jujhar Singh ji and the other brothers lit the pyre after circumventing it.  Ghee was placed on top.

After the fire burned for some time, the Kapaal Kriya was done.  Kirtan Sohila was recited along with Alaahniya Bani.  Everyone bathed in the Sutlej after.  The Tilanjali was performed as per tradition.  Everyone did Simran of Guru ji and came back home.  Sri Kalgidhar ji sat down.  Everyone paid their respects.  As the Sikhs conversed with Guru ji, the cause of Mata Jeeto ji’s passing was discussed.  There was a Vairagi there, named Parsram.  He heard the whole Katha of Mata ji’s passing and became filled with love.  He heard: “Mata ji exploded her Brahm Rundher while doing Jog.”  Parsram was amazed as he had not reached that level after years of Jog practice.  He asked: “as you gave wisdom to the fortunate Mata, please give it to me too.  She reached the highest status in a few days.  She was able to leave her body at will.  I come to your shelter.  Please give me the same wisdom, seeing me as deserving of it.”  He grabbed Guru ji’s feet with humility.  Guru ji became compassionate seeing the Vairagi’s humility.  He told him the Jog.  Parsram did the same practice and achieved the highest status.  He went through the Ravi Mandal to get to Brahm Lok.  Bhai Ram Koer ji said: “listen Khalsa ji with full attention.  I asked Satguru ji for the same wisdom that was given to Parsram Bairagi.  Guru ji smiled.  Seeing me as his greatest servant, he smiled and said: “you already have the Brahmgyaan of Sat Chit Anand.  Stay in that bliss.  Jog Anand is a river.  Brahm Anand is an ocean.  You’re in the ocean.  The deep meanings of the Shabad have been revealed to you.  You are already the Brahm.  What else can I give you?  During your end-time, I will reveal my great form to you.  You are the head Sikh of the Charan-Pahulis.  You are always close to me.  Day and night, you have done Simran of the Satguru.  No vice can touch you.”  This is what he said to me.  I saw his compassion and bowed to his feet.  I placed my head on his feet.  Listen Sahib Singh Likhaari, this Katha was said by Satguru ji himself.  He was compassionate and gave it to me to tell you.  You should write it for the Sikhs to read.  The Katha of the Guru gives joy to all.  Whatever the listener/reader asks for, they will receive.  The way of the Satguru is unique.  The world sees this and is amazed.  The Satguru is omnipotent.  He is the most powerful Avatar.  After being the supreme Avatar, he still acted like a human.  He was omniscient.  Past and future was readily known to him.  He fulfilled everyone’s wishes.  He is the master of all.  He gave Darshan to all in the Sangat.  The Sikhs had their wishes fulfilled.  The greatest artists, Pandits, musicians, scholars and poets came to him.  They said the Katha of the Guru in beautiful Kabits.  They praised him with beautiful poems.  Many came to listen.  Guru ji gave them horses with golden saddles and gems embedded into them.  He gave them wealth, pearls and diamonds.  He gave them pashmina clothes.  The artists came alone to Guru ji but would take an army of servants when they left.  They would become rich.  Guru ji’s praises spread like the moonlight to the ocean.  Everyone sang Guru ji’s praises.  Guru ji was the most generous.  There was no other warrior like him on earth.”

5-20 Hunter Woman to Man

One day, many Sikhs and Sikhnis sat with Guru Gobind Singh ji.  They were all praising Mata Jeeto ji.  They were amazed at how she was able to leave her body by her own will.  They were impressed at her Simran and Seva.  They said: “the wife of the Guru was the Mother of the world.  She was the Goddess of the World.  The Langar never finished when she made it.  She made delicious food.  She made her Brahm Rundher explode to leave her body.”  Guru ji heard this and said: “blessed is the woman that does Simran.  Simran is great.  Great is Kaliyuga, as people with vices are able to receive Mukti in this Yuga.  Great is the master of Kaliyuga, Guru Nanak Dev ji.  Simran helps people with vices be blessed.  Simran blessed monkeys as well, who have no special skills.  Women have an abundance of compassion.  The whole world knows this.  What will reading the 6 Shastras do if one does not do Simran?  Simran makes the mind still.  There is a historical Katha about this, of how a woman had compassion.  Listen oh Sangat, listen with attention as to what the woman received: a very long time ago, a hunter went to hunt.  He killed many animals.  He put up traps and caught many animals and birds.  He killed many birds.  The birds flew away in fear when he came.  The birds suffered and flew away.  The hunter saw the fear within the birds and began to think to himself: “I should have more compassion.  I have been doing sins in the jungle, where Tapasvis do Tapp.  The greatest kings go to the jungle and do Tapasya.  They do Simran of Ishwar here.  We humans are such sinners.  I come to the jungle to kill animals.  The saints come to do Tapasya.  I have only sinned my whole life.  People come to the jungle to be saved.  I came to the jungle to sin.  People come here to do Simran.  My life is damned.  My work is damned.  I have killed many animals.”  He began to think.  He stopped hunting.  He thought to himself: “what should I do now?  Bikramajeet is the king.  I should go to him and surrender myself.  Whatever punishment he gives me, I will accept it.”  The hunter went to Ujjain, where Sandipan Rishi taught Krishan ji and Sudhama in Dwapur Yuga.

As the hunter walked, Bikramajeet was going the same way as the hunter, on a hunt with his army.  The Raja saw him and arrested him, as hunting was considered a sin for the citizens to do.  The king hunted to practice his weaponry skills.  The hunters were not allowed to hunt.  He said: “arrest him and jail him.  Beat him in the jail.”  The hunter was arrested and jailed.  He didn’t get a chance to surrender.  He was being beaten up in jail.  A maid of a Shahukaar saw the hunter being beaten.  She became compassionate.  She dressed like a man and went to the jail.  She took off the hunter’s handcuffs and put them on herself.  She made the hunter run away.

A month passed away.  Bikramajeet thought about the hunter in the jail and told his guards to bring the prisoner to him.  The maid in the dress of a hunter came before the king.  She convinced the guards not to say the truth.  The Raja noticed that the prisoner was a woman.  He was confused and asked the woman: “are you a woman or a man?  Why were you going to hunt innocent animals?”  The maid said: “listen you sinner king: you are a sinner and so am I.  I am a hunter who is a sinner but you seem to be a bigger sinner.  I am surprised to see you be a bigger sinner.  I don’t know your sin but I’ve eaten your food for 1 month and became a woman from a man.  Give me back my man-body if you have some Dharma.  If you don’t do this, I will kill myself in front of you.”  The king heard this and was shocked.  He was confused at what had happened.  He said: “don’t commit suicide.  I will see what I can do.”  The king became worried after saying this.

The King gave hope to the prisoner and spent the night in worry.  In the morning, the king got on his horse and went to the jungle.  He looked around and saw the hunter that he originally arrested.  The hunter had become a Sadhoo and was doing Tapasya under a tree.  He went to the Sadhoo and bowed to him.  Bikramajeet didn’t know it was the same person.  The Sadhoo did not care who had come.  He was doing his Simran.  He didn’t say anything.  The Raja thought: “he is a great Sadhoo who is not enchanted by a king.  He has no attachment, anger, desire, pride or greed.”  The king requested the Sadhoo to go with him.  He had him sit in a palanquin with respect.  He brought him to his court and had him sit on his own seat.  He said to his ministers: “this is my Guru now.  He is a great Tapasvi.  Till I don’t return, follow his orders.  He will rule in my absence.”  He advised all of the officers to follow the Sadhoo.  Bikramajeet said this and went to the jungle.  He sat under a tree and began to do Tapasya.  He wanted to make the woman into a man.  He needed a power for this.

The hunter was now a king.  He was a saint.  Everyone followed his orders.  The Sadhoo did not like to be a king.  He called all of the ministers and told them what he was thinking.  He had the maid in the jail called.  The maid was brought to the Sadhoo.  The Sadhoo said: “she is to rule the kingdom now.”  She was made the head of state.  The Sadhoo hunter went back to the jungle to do Tapasya.  The maid was now the leader.  Everyone obeyed her orders.  They all folded their hands and said: “you are now sitting where the Guru of the king sat.  Command us.  We will do as you say.  The whole public will obey you.  What shall we do?  We are under your command.”  The maid then said: “go and capture Vishnu the great!”  The officers and soldiers got together and went to go look for Vishnu.  She said: “don’t come back till you arrest him.  Go where you need to go.  Go to far away lands if you have to.”  Everyone had to obey as she was the head of the state.  The army got ready and set off to find Vishnu Bhagavan.  They made great efforts to find him.  They went to many villages.  The whole city of Ujjain went.  They were looking for Vishnu.

As they searched, they reached Pushkar, Rajasthan.  They saw a cave there and went inside.  They met a Sidh there doing Tapasya.  They bowed to the Sidh Sadhoo and told him their problem: “we have been looking for Vishnu.  It is the command of our leader.  We couldn’t find him.  We can’t go back without finding him.  Please help us find Vishnu.  You are a great being.  You must know how to do this.”  The Sidh was compassionate.  He knew that they will die if they become stubborn.  He said: “I will help you.”  He took them to Girnaar Mountain in Gujarat.  There were many Sidhs there.  They climbed the mountain and met a Sadhoo named Jagraj.  He was a great Tapasvi.  They all met him and told him their problem after praising him.   They told him how the woman became the leader.  They said: “the woman wants to became a man.  She wants Vishnu for this.  Thousands are searching for him in every direction.  We couldn’t find him anywhere.”  Jagraj blessed them and said: “your leader will become a man.”  The minister said: “what if she still wants Vishnu?  What would we say?”  The Sidh said: “take me with you.”

Everyone came to where Bikramajeet was doing Tapasya and said: “come with us.  You don’t need to do this.”  They all went to the palace.  Jagraj made the woman into a man with his power.  Bikramajeet was made the king again.  Machinder Nath and Gorakh Nath arrived at that time.  They met the other Sidhs and the king.  The Raja was seated on the throne again.  The maid, who was now a man, was made a minister.  The Sidh said: “you wanted Vishnu, right?  The man’s body is the body of Vishnu.  Devatas wish for this body to do Bhagti.  Akaal Purakh is inside the body.  You have been given this body as a reward for your compassion.”  This is the Dharma of the Yuga.  Compassion made the hunter into a Sadhoo.  His sins were all washed away.  Listen Sikhs, look at the greatness of the Naam.  The hunter had become the Guru of the Raja by doing Simran.  The maid became a man and then a minster from a maid.  She was rewarded for being compassionate.  Compassion takes a person far.  The Raja was blessed by the Sidhs because of all this.  When he let his body go, he went to the Parmeshwar.   He lived with Vishnu and was not born again.  For this reason, Kaliyuga is great.  It gives the best rewards for all the actions.  You have to apply less effort in this Yuga.  One is blessed more in this Yuga.”
